Once again, with the help of our PTA organisation, we have participated in the "aktion julklappen." Our students and staff are sending out 376 packages to children in Eastern Europe whom, otherwise, would not be getting much for Christmas. Each package consists of pencils, paper, toothbrush, tooth paste along with a variety of other items. Students also wrote a personal message to the child who receives their gift.
Year 7 had a full day at Värmlands bokfestival. We listened to lectures by great authors like Mats Strandberg and Ingela Korsell, bound our own notebooks, met a lot of people from the book industry and participated in different workshops. It was a great and inspiring day!
Year 4 have been to the Wermlands Book Festival at Nöjesfabriken and listened to Ingela Korsell, the author of the Pax book series! The students also walked around in the fair and got the opportunity to see Sara Th’evenys books, who is the youngest author and illustrator in Sweden.
It has been a very nice day celebrating Halloween with the students today! We are now going on fall break after a very good first 2 months of school. Well done everyone!
A group of 30 year 9 students are in France right now for a week's exchange. The students they are visiting were here last year and now it is Sweden's turn to experience the French culture. This was posted on our Facebook page. 'Currently we are with our year nine students on an exchange trip to France. We are experiencing the French school, culture, food and of course the French language. The students live in hosting families and are enjoying every moment here. Today we are visiting Lyon and it is really amazing. We have visited the old city of Lyon, the cathedrale St Jean and the amphitheater. On top of that the weather is fantastic!'
